Single Use OnlyThe BALANCE MIDDLEWEIGHT (BMW) UNIVERSAL II guide wire is available in two lengths: 190 cm and 300 cm. The 190 cm version can be attached to an extension guidewire. It is offered in two models: with or without markers, differentiated by the welding material at the proximal end. The Universal II features comprehensive upgrades in coating durability, torque control and radiopacity. It retains the core performance including tip flexibility and support of the original version. As an enhanced model, it is more suitable for complex lesions, calcified/tortuous vessels and prolonged procedures.
The distal tip is coated with tungsten-filled polyurethane containing PVP, while the proximal section is covered with hydrophobic PTFE coating. The device consists of proximal core wire, distal core wire, distal coil, proximal coil and safety wire.
