Multi-System M-Coat Superelastic Universal Interventional Guidewire

This all-round single-piece nitinol navigation wire adopts gradient tapered distal design paired with exclusive full-distal M-Coat hydrophilic polymer layer, realizing lossless 1:1 full-length torque response across three major vascular systems. Integrated tungsten-doped polyurethane outer jacket delivers continuous low-dose fluoroscopic visibility, with standard, stiff and golden coil GT sub-models to match mild calcification, heavy plaque and ultra-fine distal neuro vessel clinical demands respectively.

Product Overview

RADIFOCUS eveloped as cross-department universal baseline wire for integrated interventional cath labs, the single-unit superelastic nitinol core eliminates rigid transition points to suppress shaft kinking under sharp vessel angles. The proprietary M-Coat lubricant forms stable aqueous film after repeated lesion crossing, avoiding coating shedding during long-distance tracking of tortuous vasculature. Full tungsten-infused polyurethane outer layer replaces segmented metal spring coils to achieve uninterrupted X-ray visualization without imaging blind spots; the optional 2cm golden radiopaque coil on GT variant further boosts tip visibility for ultra-selective micro-vessel embolization. Three shaft stiffness grades (floppy standard / reinforced stiff / ultra-flex GT) cover coronary PCI, lower-limb PTA, cerebral angiography and musculoskeletal embolization simultaneously. This wire is not indicated for thin-walled high-risk coronary CTO puncture and percutaneous urological lithotripsy operations.

Key Highlights

  • One-Piece Gradient Taper Superelastic Nitinol Core: Continuous single metal structure eliminates torque attenuation, excellent anti-kink performance for multi-system tortuous vasculature.
  • Exclusive Full-Distal M-Coat Hydrophilic Polymer Layer: High-adhesion lubrication film retains slippage after serial stenosis passage, no frequent rehydration required.
  • Continuous Tungsten-Doped Polyurethane Radiopaque Jacket: Whole distal working zone X-ray visible without metal coil blind area, compatible with low-dose fluoroscopy protocols.
  • Three Graded Shaft Stiffness Sub-Series (Standard / Stiff / GT Golden Coil): One product platform meets mild plaque, heavy calcification and ultra-fine neuro micro-vessel three clinical demands.
  • Optional 2cm Distal Golden Radiopaque Coil (GT Variant): Enhanced tip marker contrast improves ultra-selective embolization positioning accuracy for tiny cerebral branches.

Clinical application of BMW guidewire in PCI

Typical Clinical Applications

Cross-discipline universal baseline navigation wire for multi-functional hybrid interventional cath labs, covering four core vascular clinical systems:

Coronary Interventional Procedures

  • Routine Elective Single-Vessel PCI & Simple Bifurcation Stent Delivery

Peripheral Vascular Interventions

  • Femoral, Popliteal & BTK Mild/Medium Calcified PTA & Stenting
  • Iliac Artery Long-Segment Occlusion Initial Crossing

Cerebral & Neuro Interventional Embolization

  • Cerebral Super-Selective Angiography & Tiny Branch Embolization (GT Golden Coil Preferred)
  • Acute Mild Ischemic Stroke Recanalization Auxiliary Navigation

Musculoskeletal Tumor Embolization

  • Multi-System Vessel Catheterization for Tumor Chemoembolization

Quality Assurance & Compliance

All multi-system M-Coat universal guidewires are manufactured in Class 100 ultra-clean workshops under full ISO13485 quality management system. Independent cross-system cyclic torsion, M-coat coating abrasion and low-dose tungsten radiopacity stability testing are conducted for each batch, separated from single-system coronary dedicated wire inspection standards. Each finished wire passes one-by-one tip softness and coating uniformity inspection before packaging.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1. What clinical difference exists between standard, stiff and GT golden coil sub-models of this multi-system universal wire?

Standard floppy variant fits mild non-calcified coronary & peripheral routine lesions; reinforced stiff version provides stronger pushability for medium calcified long-segment vasculature; GT golden coil ultra-flex model is exclusive for tiny cerebral super-selective embolization with enhanced tip fluoroscopic contrast.

2. Can this multi-system guidewire be used for percutaneous nephrolithotomy and severe coronary full CTO puncture?

Not recommended. Its balanced shaft rigidity may raise mucosal laceration risk in urinary tracts and lacks enough penetration force for dense coronary calcified caps; dedicated urological PTFE wire or high-penetration CTO guidewire should be selected separately.
